Newton, Mass.—Danielle Drapeau (Biddeford, ME) produced 17 kills for the Lasell College Lasers as they ran away with a 3-0 victory over Suffolk University in women’s volleyball action on Tuesday evening. The Lasers finished the night with a 10-21 overall record and a 5-6 GNAC record, while Suffolk drops to 6-23 overall and 3-9 in the conference.

Boston, Mass.—Lasell’s womens’ volleyball team split over the weekend in a GNAC tri-match with Simmons College and St. Joseph’s College of Connecticut, hosted by the Sharks. Lasell swept St. Joseph’s 3-0 then fell in four to Simmons, leaving their overall record at 9-21.

Lasell dropped both matches to the tough conference rivals, ending the day with a 3-4 conference mark.

Elizabeth Stickley (Mashpee, Mass.) and Matthew Scully (Watertown, Conn.) were selected for the second week in a row as Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week respectively, while Meghan Crozier (Ballston Spa, NY) and Christina Annicelli (North Easton, Mass.) were chosen as women's volleyball Player of the Week and cross country Rookie of the Week respectively.

Providence, RI—Lasell College stole one game away from New England powerhouse Rhode Island College on Tuesday evening in a four-set women’s volleyball match, at The Murray Center. The Anchorwomen dictated the first two sets easily (25-14, 25-17) before the Lasers capitalized in the third for a 25-21 win. Rhode Island came back in full force in the final set, winning 25-18, for the match.
