Boston, Mass.The Lasell College womens volleyball team played in their final contest of the 2009 season during the quarterfinals of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference post-season tournament on Tuesday. The Lasers were defeated by eventual conference title champions Emerson College, 3-0.

The Lasers finished the night with a 10-21 overall record and a 5-6 GNAC record, while Suffolk drops to 6-23 overall and 3-9 in the conference.
Boston, Mass.Lasells womens volleyball team split over the weekend in a GNAC tri-match with Simmons College and St. Josephs College of Connecticut, hosted by the Sharks. Lasell swept St. Josephs 3-0 then fell in four to Simmons, leaving their overall record at 9-21.

Newton, Mass.- Four Lasell athletes were honored by the GNAC with weekly awards. Elizabeth Stickley (Mashpee, Mass.) and Matthew Scully (Watertown, Conn.) were selected for the second week in a row as Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week respectively, while Meghan Crozier (Ballston Spa, NY) and Christina Annicelli (North Easton, Mass.) were chosen as women's volleyball Player of the Week and cross country Rookie of the Week respectively.
Providence, RILasell College stole one game away from New England powerhouse Rhode Island College on Tuesday evening in a four-set womens volleyball match, at The Murray Center. The Anchorwomen dictated the first two sets easily (25-14, 25-17) before the Lasers capitalized in the third for a 25-21 win. Rhode Island came back in full force in the final set, winning 25-18, for the match.
Schenectady, NYLasells sophomore setter, Meghan Crozier (Ballston Spa, NY) was selected to the Union College Invitational All-Tournament team after four non-conference womens volleyball matches this weekend. The Lasers played well against some tough New York competition despite going 0-4 on the weekend.
Newton, Mass.The Salve Regina Seahawks swiped a 3-0 match from the Lasell College Lasers this evening in womens volleyball action at the Lasell Athletic Center. The Seahawks produced the three set victory with scores of 25-20, 25-14, and 25-17.

Standish, METhe Lasell College Lasers went 1-1 this weekend in a GNAC tri-match with Saint Josephs (Maine) and Emerson College. The Lasers took a five-set match from Emerson on the Monks home court, then lost in a 3-0 battle with the Lions on neutral territory.
