This is accomplished first through education, risk management and prevention of athletic injury. Secondly, we provide accurate clinical evaluation, diagnosis and referrals. Finally, with effective immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of injuries we ensure proper recovery and return to play. In addition, the Athletic Training staff strives to ensure that our student-athletes are provided with proper direction and counseling in all areas of physical, emotional and mental well-being.

Our Medical Team

The Athletic Training Services are affiliated with Newton Wellesley Orthopedic Associates under the direction of Dr. Laurie Katz. Dr. Allison Gray supervises the management of concussions, while Dr. Jeffrey Kreher supervises management of medical conditions.

Staff athletic trainers are certified by the National Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers, licensed by the State of Massachusetts, and hold current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications.
