NASHUA, NH- Rivier College defeated Lasell College in the quarter finals of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday night, 3-0. The no. 2 seeded Raiders overcame the no. 7 seed by scores of 25-20, 25-16, and 25-14 to move into the semi-finals on Thursday evening. Lasell’s 2010 campaign culminates at 12-18 overall.

The contest also marked Senior Day for the two Laser seniors, Melanie Costa (Ludlow, MA) and Megan Gobeille (Lincoln, RI). Lasell finished the day with a 9-15 records (4-5 GNAC), while the Lions victory boosted their record to 17-8 overall (6-1 GNAC).

Salve's win protected their perfect record at home this season, moving to 6-11 overall, while Lasell continue on a three-game skid, falling to a 7-11 slate.
