Riley Repeats as GNAC Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week

NEWTON, MA--  For the second consecutive week, Taylor Riley (Greencastle, PA) has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

This week, in two GNAC matches for the Lasers, Riley combined for 20 kills and 22 digs, producing her sixth double-double of the season against Emerson College with 10 kills and 14 digs.  Earlier in the week, the rookie outside hitter put down 10 kills and added 8 digs against Suffolk University.

Riley has had an outstanding first year with the Lasers and seems to be steadily improving with each passing contest. She has 166 total kills on the season, good for second on the team, and is averaging 2.08 kills per set.  She also has recorded 179 digs this season, placing her third on the team, and averages 2.24 digs per set.  Riley is also second on the team in total attacks (557), proving herself to be a go-to hitter in the front line.

Riley has notched double-figures in kills in nine of 24 total contests and had six double-double performances this season.
