Lasell College senior Stephen Petrin (Vernon, CT) has been awarded the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All Region Scholar Athlete Award. The award recognizes outstanding academic performance while serving as a student-athlete.
EPPING, NH- The Lasell College mens soccer team participated in the first annual Great Northeast Athletic Conference Spring Soccer Tournament. The event was held at the Seacoast United Soccer Club's facility in Epping, New Hampshire. Including Lasell, participating teams were St. Joseph's College, Johnson & Wales University, and Rivier College.

NEWTON, MA- Four Lasell College men’s soccer players were named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-League teams. Senior forward Dan Hatch (Avon, MA) and junior goalkeeper Matthew Bruninghaus (Plymouth, MA) earned first team honors while senior defender Sean Fisher (Griswold, CT) and freshman midfielder Marcus Lopez (Barrigada, Guam) made the ranks amongst the third team.
NEWTON, MA- Lasell College’s men’s soccer team picked up both the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player and Rookie of the Week awards after Stephen Petrin (Vernon, CT) and Jared Lewis (Haverhill, MA) teamed up to score the game-winning goal in the GNAC Tournament quarter finals on Saturday. Petrin was selected as the Player of the Week while Lewis acquired the Rookie honors.
NEWTON, MA- The Suffolk University Rams ousted Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) regular season champions Lasell College from the GNAC Men’s Soccer Tournament today in a 2-1 semi-final upset on Taylor Field. The fourth seeded Rams will advance to the finals of the GNAC Tournament on Saturday, November 6th at no. 2 seed Albertus Magnus College. The no. 1 seeded Lasers season comes to a halt pending the announcement of the ECAC Tournament in hopes of a bid to continue post-season play.

The victory moves the Lasers (9-7-2) onto the semi-finals which will take place on Tuesday, while the Wildcats complete their season with a 4-12-2 overall record.

Project GOAL (Greater Opportunity for Athletes to Learn) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate the development of Rhode Island’s disadvantaged youth through educational and soccer related programs.

NEWTON, MA In a thrilling Great Northeast Athletic Conference mens soccer showdown between Lasell College and Albertus Magnus, the Lasers rallied back from a two-goal deficit late in the second period, to tie the contest, 2-2. The teams put on an exciting show for the near 300 fans that swarmed Grellier Field for Lasells Family, Friends, and Alumni Weekend. After 110 minutes of soccer action, the match concluded in a stalemate, leaving the Lasers undefeated, and in first place, in the GNAC at 6-0-2 (6-6-2 overall) and the Falcons at 4-2-1 in the league (11-4-1 overall).

With the non-confernce victory, the Fords improve to 7-3-2 this season, while the Lasers level out at 6-6-1.
