Lopez Named GNAC Rookie of the Week

Newton, MA-- Marcus Lopez (Barrigada, Guam) was selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference men's soccer Rookie of the Week.

Lopez was awarded the GNAC honor after a three-point week for the freshman forward.  Lopez scored the go-ahead goal at Rhode Island College, giving Lasell a 1-0 lead in the 12^th minute, and then assisted on the game-winning goal against Mount Ida College, sending a perfect leading pass down the middle of the field to set up the game-winner.

Lopez is currently third on the team in total points this season and has started in all four of the Lasers contests.
