Drapeau, Crozier of Lasell Earn Second Team All Conference
NASHUA, NH— No. 2 seeded Rivier College advanced to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament semifinals on Tuesday after a 3-0 defeat of no. 7 Lasell College women’s volleyball.

BROOKLINE, MA- Two major women’s volleyball milestones were met by Lasell College athletes on Saturday in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) trimatch hosted by Pine Manor. Meghan Crozier (Ballston Spa, NY) reached 3,000 career assists and Jenna Lynn Geary (Marion, MA) notched 1,000 career digs in a 2-0 sweep of Pine Manor and Suffolk. The Lasers settled out the 2011 regular season with a 16-18 overall record and an 8-5 GNAC slate.
PAXTON, MA- Lasell College easily swept a 3-0 match against Anna Maria in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women’s volleyball action on Wednesday night. The Lasers improve to 14-17 this season with a 6-5 GNAC slate while the AMCATS have yet to earn a win in the conference (0-12) and drop to 3-21 on the year. Lasell won by scores of 25-23, 25-12, 25-16.
NEWTON, MA- Neighboring Brandeis University derailed the Lasell College women's volleyball team with a 3-0 sweep of the Lasers on Tuesday night at the Athletic Center. The Judges used a .245 attack percentage to improve their overall record to 9-17 this season while the Lasers stand at 13-18.

WORCESTER, MA-- WPI women’s volleyball held off Lasell College with a 3-0 match victory on Thursday night. The Engineers won the contest by scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-21, and improve to 17-7 this season. Lasell drops to 12-16 this year.
NEWTON, MA- Behind a combined 25 kill effort by Alexis Chappell (Springfield, MA) and Danielle Drapeau (Biddeford, ME), the Lasell College women’s volleyball team defeated Johnson & Wales University, 3-1, in the Athletic Center on Tuesday night.

NEWTON, MA- Rivier College swept two straight matches in Saturday’s Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-match hosted by Lasell College and featuring Saint Joseph College of Connecticut, to improve to 13-13 (9-1 GNAC) this season. The Lasers, who were celebrating their senior day during the events, split the pair of contests with a win over the Blue Jays, 3-0, and land at an 11-15 (3-4 GNAC) record. Saint Joseph was hit with two losses and slip to 6-17 (1-7 GNAC) this year.

NEWTON, MA- On October 15th, the Lasell College women’s volleyball team will host a Dig Pink® day to benefit The Side-Out Foundation in support of breast cancer research during a tri-match against Saint Joseph College of Connecticut and Rivier College. The Lasers will fundraise throughout the season with all proceeds donated to Side-Out to further breast-cancer awareness, education, and patient services.
SCHENECTADY, NY—Danielle Drapeau (Biddeford, ME) became the second Lasell College women’s volleyball player to reach 1,000 career kills over the weekend at the Union College Invitational. The Lasers went 1-3 over the weekend against tough out of region competition, bringing their overall record to 8-14 (1-3 GNAC).
NEWTON, MA-- After dropping the first set of the match on Tuesday night, the Lasell College women’s volleyball team came back to win three straight sets over Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) cross-town rival Mount Ida College to secure the 3-1 match victory. The win betters Lasell’s record to 9-14 as well as their GNAC slate to 2-3, while the Mustangs take a step back at 11-8 and 4-3 in the conference.
