Weston, MA- Lasell powered past Regis behind a dominant offensive showing, earning a 17-12 GNAC road victory on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Lasers improve to 8-6 overall and 7-3 in conference play.
Lasell set the tone early, jumping out to a 3-0 lead behind goals from Nate Campbell, Julian Vogel, and Jason Martin. After Regis closed the gap late in the first quarter, Jack Condon scored in the final seconds to give the Lasers a 5-3 advantage.
The Lasers took control in the second quarter, outscoring Regis 6-3 to build an 11-6 halftime lead. Condon led the charge with two goals in the frame, while Ryan Haden and Thomas Fulton added key tallies. Lasell's man-up unit capitalized twice during the run to extend the lead.
Julian Vogel led all scorers with five goals, while Condon added four goals and two assists in a standout performance. Campbell chipped in three goals and two assists, and Martin orchestrated the offense with one goal and eight assists.
Lasell controlled possession throughout, winning 23 of 32 faceoffs behind a dominant effort from Matthew Carbone, who went 19-for-26 at the X while adding a goal and a team-high 15 ground balls. The Lasers also held a 56-30 advantage in ground balls and outshot Regis 70-44.
In net, Dominick Ciarelli made 15 saves to earn the win.
