Men's Soccer: Lasers' 2021 season recap
Jake Ouellette led the 2021 Lasell University men's soccer team with seven points.
NEWTON, Mass. - Jake Ouellette, Michael Palumbo and Jaydon Perez each scored three goals for the Lasell University men's soccer team during the 2021 season.
Ouellette led the team with seven points and tallied one game-winning goal. Palumbo posted one game-winning goal, while Dan Faynstein, Alex Melo, Matt Nogueira and Alexander Tavitian posted one goal apiece. Ouellette, Zack Laware and Kevin Pitt all tallied one assist during the season.
Goalkeepers Laware and Gabriel Bazikas each registered one win in net, combining for 104 saves. Perez scored his third goal of the season, assisted by Ouellette, in the 21st minute during a 1-1 tie against Regis on Oct. 9 at Taylor Field.
The Lasers compiled a 2-1 comeback win at Fisher on Sept. 25. Palumbo netted the equalizer during the 72nd minute, and then Ouellette posted the game-winner 24 seconds into overtime.
During a 3-1 GNAC win at Dean on Oct. 2, Palumbo netted two goals 3:07 apart in the second half, including the game-winner during the 80th minute. Perez knotted the game at 1-1 with just over six minutes remaining in the first half, assisted by Laware.
