Newton, MA- On Senior Day at Grellier Field, the Lasell University men's lacrosse team delivered a fitting finish, rallying in the fourth quarter to secure a thrilling 10-9 conference victory over Maine Maritime.
In a back-and-forth battle throughout, the Lasers trailed 7-6 entering the final quarter before rising to the moment late. Ryan Haden opened the fourth-quarter scoring to even things up, and after Maine Maritime regained the lead, Matthew Carbone answered to tie the game at 9-9.
With the game on the line, Julian Vogel came through in the clutch, scoring the go-ahead goal with 3:08 remaining off a feed from Nate Campbell. The Lasers' defense held strong over the final minutes to seal the Senior Day victory.
Vogel led the way with four goals, while Colin LeBaron added two goals and an assist. Carson Tucker chipped in a goal and two assists, and Jack Condon, Ryan Haden, and Carbone each found the back of the net in a balanced offensive effort.
Defensively, Dominick Ciarelli anchored the Lasers with 14 saves, coming up with key stops as Maine Maritime pushed late.
