WVB: Lasers Dominate Chargers 3-0
Newton, MA - The Lasell University women's volleyball team delivered a commanding performance Saturday morning, sweeping Colby-Sawyer College 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-17) at the Lasell Athletic Center.
Lasell was in control from the opening serve, hitting an impressive .376 as a team. Led by Morgan Bogli, who recorded a match-high 16 kills on a .464 hitting percentage. Bogli also contributed three service aces and three block assists, finishing with 20.5 points. Sydney Katz orchestrated the offense with precision, dishing out 32 assists while adding four kills and seven digs.
Alexyss Chartier was nearly perfect at the net, tallying four kills on seven attempts without an error for a .571 hitting percentage. Victoria Pariseault also had a strong outing, finishing with six kills, four service aces, and two block assists. Andrea Aceituno added four kills and one ace, while Michelle French chipped in six kills and three block assists.
Lasell's front line made its presence felt defensively, combining for 10 block assists and one solo block. Despite the Colby-Sawyer backline haveing a slight 32-34 edge in digs, the Lasers had just nine errors to the Chargers 18 across all three sets.
Lasell set the tone early, dominating the first set 25-13 behind 16 kills and a .333 hitting percentage. The second set saw even greater efficiency, as the Lasers hit .462 while limiting the Chargers to just eight kills and a .000 hitting percentage. Lasell closed out the match in the third with a 25-17 win, powered by 15 kills on .355 hitting.
