Daytona Beach, Fla. - The Lasell College women's basketball team dropped a 43-34 result against Rockford on Wednesday afternoon in the Daytona Beach Shootout. The Lasers fell to 2-6 with the loss, while Rockford climbed to 2-8 overall.
Morgan Church paced Lasell with a game-high 23 points on 7-16 from the floor and 5-9 from three point territory and Dana Ross posted her 6th double digit rebound performance of the year grabbing 12 rebounds in the contest.
Nicole Silvers and Neve Yerk led Rockford with 10 points apiece, and Tajanae Key snared a game-high 18 rebounds.
Lasell trailed by 16 midway through the 3rd quarter before closing the period with a with a 17-7 run in the final 5:51 to cut the Rockford lead to six points heading to the fourth quarter, but were unable to get any closer down the stretch.
Lasell will take on Centre on Thursday at 2 p.m.
