Alison Saluti (Braintree, MA) of the Lasell College softball team picked up her first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) award as the 2011 All-Conference teams were announced on Monday. The sophomore pitcher was named a third team all-conference honoree.
PROVIDENCE, RI- The sixth seeded Johnson & Wales University softball team knocked off seventh seeded Lasell College, 4-1, in the first round of Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament action on Pierce Field on Wednesday afternoon.
NEWTON, MA- The Lasell College Softball team swept a doubleheader against Mount Ida College on Senior Day, 2-1, in the first game and 3-2 in game two.
The 2011 GNAC Softball Playoff pairings are now available. NEWTON, MA- On Saturday afternoon at Taylor Field, Emerson College swept a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contests against Lasell College softball, 11-1 and 9-1, in five innings. The Lions, whom are currently ranked 1st in the GNAC standings, improve to 18-10 overall and 14-2 in GNAC play, while Lasell slips to 7-23 and 7-9 in league action.
NASHUA, NH-Down 6-4 in the seventh inning with the bases loaded and one out, Marissa McHugh (Plymouth, MA) knocked out a grand slam over the right center field fence to clear the bases and ultimately lift Lasell past Rivier College, 8-7 in the first game of a conference doubleheader. The Lasers fell 5-2 in the nightcap to bring their overall record to 7-21 and their Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) slate to 7-7.
NEWTON, MA- Lasell College softball suffered a two game Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) setback today on Taylor Field dropping the contests to St. Joseph College of Connecticut, 10-0 and 6-2. The Blue Jays build up their record to 14-12 and 10-2 in the league after the two game victory, while Lasell dips to 6-20 overall and 6-6 in conference action.

NEWTON, MA- Lesley University (8-4) won a pair of games against the Lasell College (4-16) softball squad today on Taylor Field in non-league play, taking the first contest 3-2 and the second 9-3.
NEWTON, MA- Lasell softball swept Albertus Magnus today, upending the Falcons 26-2 in game one and 15-5 in game two. Lasell enhances their overall record to 4-14 this season and their Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) record to 4-2. Albertus remains on a 0-10 skid for the course of the season so far as well as 0-6 in the GNAC.

A three-run homer by Rachelle Haas (Middleton, MA) and a two-RBI triple by Kelly Silvia (Oaks Bluff, MA) sealed game two for Lasell who improve to 2-12 this season and stay level at 2-2 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play. Two home runs and five RBI by Joanie Ellsworth (Everett, MA) in game one gave Norwich their win for the day, leaving the Cadets with a 2-10 record, and 2-2 in the GNAC.
