Franklin, MA - The Lasell University men's lacrosse team picked up a key Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win over the Bulldogs of Dean College on Tuesday afternoon. They used a 5-1 fourth-quarter run to fuel the victory and improve to 9-4 overall (8-1 GNAC) while the Bulldogs dropped to 10-3 (4-3 GNAC).
Each team scored early and often as there were 10 goals scored through the first 15 minutes. Jack Condon netted the first three Laser goals as part of his six-goal effort with Sam Guilmette and Carson Tucker also adding scores. The Bulldogs would score three straight goals in the second quarter to take an 8-5 lead, but it was Condon who scored twice in the final four minutes before the half to cut the deficit to 8-7. Going into the fourth, the Lasers trailed narrowly still, 10-9. A Nate Campbell goal would even the score two minutes into the quarter and be the start of a 5-0 run for the Lasers. Campbell would score another goal at the 9:15 mark which was followed up by a pair of scores by Colin LeBaron. Then Jack Condon iced the game with his final score of the game with just under two minutes left, en route to the 14-11 comeback win.
Sam Guilmette totaled three goals and three assists with Jack Condon once again leading the Lasers in scoring with six goals. Michael Catalano saved 13 shots and now has a 7-4 record in the net on the year.
