Cross Country Scores Meet Win Against Pine Manor
Lasell had the top four and six of the top seven finishers against Pine Manor on Thursday afternoon.
BOSTON, Mass. (9/14/13) - The Lasell College women's cross country team came out on top in their dual meet at Pine Manor, scoring 16 points compared to 36 points for the host Gators. Jamie Russo finished first in the meet, covering the course in 22:25 and winning the race by a margin of nearly two minutes.
After Russo's first place finish, Jess Smith and Rachel Knuth finished second and third overall in times of 24:11 and 25:10 respectively. Solange Carpenter was the fourth runner across the line for Lasell, placing fourth with a time of 26:24. Alaina Eldredge and Jessica Clark finished sixth and seventh overall for Lasell, with times of 30:23 and 32:40.
Lasell will journey to the University of Southern Maine on Saturday September 21st for their next meet.
