Women's Cross Country Opens 2013 Season at Keene State Meet
Solange Carpenterand Jess Smith were the top two finishers for Lasell in their opening meet at Keene State.
KEENE, N.H. (8/31/13) - The Lasell College women's cross country team opened their 2013 schedule with a trip to New Hampshire for the Keene State Alumni Cross Country meet. Lasell was paced by Solange Carpenter and Jess Smith, who finished five seconds apart on the day.
Carpenter was the top finisher for Lasell, crossed the line 63rd, followed by Smith in 65th as the duo posted final times of 15:08 and 15:13 respectively for the two mile course.
Rachel Knuth and Jamie Russo were less than a second apart, posting times of 15:46.29 and 15:46.63 while finishing third and fourth on the Lasers squad. Alaina Eldridge was next across the line for Lasell posting a time of 19:23.39, followed by Bethany McNulty in 19:23.58, Emily Kochanek in 20:31.11, Jessica Clark in 20:28.68 and Jen Lemoine in 21:18.36.
Lasell will return to action next Saturday September 7th when they travel to Smith College for an Invitational, going off at 11:45 a.m.
