Women's Cross Country Takes Eighth at GNAC Championships
The Lasell College women's cross country team finished in eighth place overall at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference championship meet.
Newton, Mass. (10/27/12) - The Lasell College women's cross country team finished in eighth place overall at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference championship meet. Solange Carpenter led the women's team placing 29th out of of 143 runners. Johnson and Wales University took home the team title, with St. Joseph's (Maine) and Simmons University rounding out the top 3.
Carpenter finished the 5K course in 21:59, followed by Jamie Russo (23:34) in 50th and Jess Smith (23:36) in 51st. Rachel Knuth (24:01) finished in 63rd, Christina Annicelli (24:48) placed 80th, and Alaina Eldredge (27:39) placing 116th.
