Cross Country to Host First Meet in Program History

Newton, MA-- On Saturday, August 28th, the Lasell College Men's & Women's Cross Country program will host their first ever race, the 2010 President's Cup, at Cold Spring Park in Newton, Massachusetts.

The event will be a 5K race for both the men's and women's participants and will begin with the women attacking the course at 10:00 a.m.   The men will follow at 11:00 a.m.  An awards presentation will take place at the conclusion of the event, and is scheduled for 11:40 a.m.

Cold Spring Park is located on Beacon Street in Newton Center. (Enter from Beacon Street, or Duncklee Street off Walnut Street, or Plymouth Road off Woodward.)  The park has ample wooded areas, fields, a brook, and wetlands. 

This is the first cross country even that Lasell College has hosted in the 12 year program history.
