Lasers Compete at 2009 Saints Invitational
Boston, Mass.The Lasell womens cross country team competed in the 2009 Emmanuel College Saints Invitational on Friday, October 16th, earning an 11th place ranking out of 19 total teams. A total of 146 athletes ran in the 5K meet, with the top time of 18:50.34 going to Katherine Eve of Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

A total of 146 athletes ran in the 5K meet, with the top time of 18:50.34 going to Katherine Eve of Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Lasell's top performer of the day was Meghan Missett (Lowell, Mass.) who finished the course in 30th place overall, with a time of 21:51.81. With six Great Northeast Athletic Conference teams participating in the run, Missett proved to be the fourth GNAC athlete across the finish line.
Close behind Misett, in 51st place overall, finished senior, captain Ariella Harrington (Woburn, Mass.). Harrington completed the 3.2 mile course in 22 minutes, 50.49 seconds, and was the 17th GNAC runner to finish.
Christina Annicelli (North Easton, Mass.) came through the finish line next for Lasell with a time of 23:15.81. Following behind her at 23:41.25 was sophomore Amanda Driscoll (Roslindale, Mass.), while the fifth Laser to complete was senior Stephanie Hauck (Westwood, Mass.) at 24:24.78. Junior Megan McCole (West Bridgewater, Mass.) earned a time of 25:01.98.
Rounding out the athletes competing at the Saints Invitational for Lasell were Stephanie Greenblatt (Houston, TX) and Catherine Hart (Dedham, Mass.). Greenblatt finished with a time of 30:54.18 and Hart had a time of 31:26.37.
Lasell will be running next in the GNAC Championships on October 31st. The Championships will be hosted by Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire.
