Newton, MA- Lasell University continued its dominant start to the 2025 season with a straight-set sweep over Clark University (25-16, 25-13, 25-16) on Thursday afternoon at the Lasell Athletic Center. The victory pushes the Lasers to 10-1 overall, while the Cougars drop to 1-7.
Lasell's offense was firing on all cylinders, finishing with an impressive .359 hitting percentage across three sets. Senior Michelle French was perfect at the net, going 5-for-5 with no errors for a 1.000 hitting percentage, while Sydney Katz and Andrea Aceituno each added 3 kills apiece and hit .750.
Morgan Bogli led the Lasers in kills with 8, hitting .368 and contributing two service aces and two block assists. Katz also orchestrated the offense efficiently with 20 assists and added 11 digs for a double-double.
Lasell set the tone early with a dominant .458 team hitting percentage in the opening set, committing only two errors. They followed up with another sharp .476 performance in set two before easing to the finish in the third.
Lasell's defense also excelled, holding Clark under 17 points in each set and collecting 30 digs as a team. The Lasers out-blocked the Cougars 11 to 6 and kept pressure on with 9 service aces.
