Boston, MA- The Lasers earned their first conference win of the 2025 season after a clean 3-0 sweep over the Sharks of Simmons University.
Lasell and Simmons each hit the court with offensive firepower, remaining tied for nearly half of the first set. Simmons pulled ahead briefly at 10-8, but Lasell responded with a six-point run. Powered by a sharp offense and a few well-timed aces, the Lasers secured a decisive 25-17 win. Lasell's front row was firing on all cylinders, swinging an impressive .500 in the opening set.
The rest of the match followed a similar pattern, with both teams staying within a point or two of each other until Lasell pulled away around the 10-point mark.
Trinity Silva and Victoria Pariseault led the Lasers' offense with nine kills apiece, followed closely by Morgan Bogli with eight. Madeline Caro anchored the back row with 13 digs, while Andrea Aceituno and Analee Ronas added 8 and 7 digs, respectively. Senior setter Sydney Katz dished out 29 assists on the night, eclipsing the 2,000-assist mark for her career.
Up Next: Lasell will be back on the court this Thursday, with a non-conference matchup against Clark University.
