NEWTON, Mass. (11/8/17) -- The Lasell College women’s volleyball team boasts three Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference selections, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
PROVIDENCE, RI – The Lasell women’s volleyball team fell to the nationally ranked Wildcats of Johnson & Wales in straight sets in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) semifinal match Thursday evening. The top-seeded Wildcats won by set scores of 25-11, 25-13, and 25-10, and move on to their fourth straight Championship match on Saturday to face Simmons College.
NEWTON, Mass. (11/1/17) -- The Lasell College women’s volleyball team will travel to nationally-ranked No. 11 Johnson & Wales for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Semifinal match-up on Thursday November 2 at 7:30p.m.
NEWTON, Mass. (10/31/17) – Junior Olivia Addington (Orange, Calif.) became the third Lasell women’s volleyball player to reach the 1,000 kills milestone in a 3-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) quarterfinal victory against Regis (Mass.) on Tuesday evening.
NEWTON, Mass. (10/30/17) -- The Lasell College women’s volleyball will host Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) newcomer Regis College on Tuesday October 31 at 6:30 p.m. in a Quarterfinal showdown. The Quarterfinal match-up will mark the Lasers’ first home tournament game since the 2007 season.
NEWTON, Mass. (10/28/17) – The Lasell women’s volleyball team swept a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-match on Saturday afternoon, defeating Anna Maria 3-0, and Norwich University 3-1 inside the Lasell Athletic Center. The Lasers finish out the regular season riding a six game conference win streak, and improve to 19-19 overall and 8-4 in GNAC play.
BOSTON, Mass. (10/26/17) – The Lasell women’s volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to non-conference opponent Emerson College on Thursday evening inside Brown & Plofker Gymnasium.
Senior setter Taylor Tiezzi (Meriden, Conn.) became just the third Lasell women’s volleyball player to reach the 1,000 digs, 2,000 assists combination in a five-set thriller Tuesday evening at the Tinsley Center. Tiezzi hit the 2,000 assists plateau during the first game of the season, played in San Juan, P.R., and added 14 digs this evening to reach the career milestone.
BOSTON, Mass. (10/21/17) - The Lasell women’s volleyball team swept a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-match on Saturday afternoon with Regis and Emmanuel on the Andy Yosinoff Court. The Lasers earned a 3-1 victory against the Pride before downing the host Saints in five sets, and improve to 12-17 overall and soar above .500 against league opponents at 6-4.
NEWTON, Mass. (10/18/17) – The Lasell women’s volleyball team powered to a 3-1 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory against crosstown rival Mount Ida College Wednesday evening inside the Lasell Athletic Center. The Lasers move to 4-4 against league opponents and 10-17 overall, while the Mustangs drop to 4-4 in the GNAC and 17-9 this season.
The Lasell women?s volleyball team honored its seven graduating seniors, Taylor Tiezzi (Meriden, Conn.), Caitlyn Garcia (Moreno Valley, Calif.), Meredith Eagan (North Andover, Mass.), Michele Canestro (Castleton, N.Y.), Lauren Piper (Scarborough, Maine), Magdalen Trainor (Worcester, Mass.) and Madison Cota (Bellows Falls, Vt.) in a 1-1 split against Saint Joseph Connecticut and Smith College Saturday afternoon in Weston, Mass.
Simmons College swept the Lasell College Lasers by set scores of 25-17, 25-13 and 25-21 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women’s volleyball action on Wednesday evening at Moore Gymnasium.
The Lasell women’s volleyball team split a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-match with Johnson & Wales University and Albertus Magnus College on Saturday afternoon in Providence, R.I.
