Garcia Named GNAC Corvias Libero of the Week
Junior Caitlyn Garcia (Moreno Valley, Calif.) earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Libero of the Week honors, as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
NEWTON, Mass. (9/13/16) – Junior Caitlyn Garcia (Moreno Valley, Calif.) earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Libero of the Week honors as announced by the conference office Monday morning.
Garcia combined for 63 total digs in an electric 3-0 week for the Lasers. The junior libero averaged 4.85 digs and 0.92 service aces per set in all 13 sets played.
Lasell competed in two five-set thrillers this past week, defeating Colby-Sawyer and UMass Dartmouth 3-2, while also earning a total sweep against Eastern Nazarene 3-0. Garcia was the defensive leader in all games played, highlighted by a tremendous 33 digs against Colby-Sawyer.
Garcia and the Lasers look to extend their hot streak tonight at 7:00 p.m., as they host Wentworth Institute of Technology inside the Athletic Center Gym.
