Women's Volleyball Splits GNAC Road Doubleheader

Newton, Mass. - The Lasell College women's volleyball team split a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference matches on Saturday afternoon. Lasell fell 3-0 against Rivier University, by scores of 25-17, 25-17 and 25-14. The Lasers bounced back to defeat The University of St. Joseph's (Conn.) in three sets, 25-19, 25-21 and 25-14. The splits put Lasell at 5-15 on the season and 5-3 in GNAC play.
Sharisse Scott-Rawlins (Brockton, Mass.) led Lasell in the opening match defeat against Rivier, finishing with six kills.
Sara Biondo (Coventry, R.I.) and Scott-Rawlins paced the Lasell attack in their second match, tallying 11 and 10 kills respectively. Alyssa Nahigian (Coventry, R.I.) notched 28 assists in the victory.
Lasell will travel to Worcester State University for a non-conference match on Tuesday October 9th at 7pm.
