T&F: Lasers Post Multiple Podium Finishes in GNAC Championships
Newton, MA- The Lasell track and field team had an outstanding performance at the 2025 GNAC Championships, with several athletes breaking school records and earning podium finishes in various events.
Kayoni Jordan claimed the GNAC Championship in the 60m, dominating with a 8.22 finish.
In the 60m, Cameren Candelaria raced to a second-place finish with an impressive school-record time of 7.20 seconds, earning a silver medal. Candelaria wasn't done yet—he also set a new school record in the 200m with a time of 22.98 seconds, securing a fourth-place finish.
Zayshawn Griffin earned a bronze medal in the long jump, showcasing his jumping prowess with a standout performance.
Nate Gonzalez also stepped up for the team, bringing home a silver medal in the high jump, securing a second-place finish with a remarkable leap.
The Men's 4x400m relay team, consisting of Jordan Woodley, Colin Roderick, Amill Houston, and Cameren Candelaria, set a new school record with a time of 3:35.57, highlighting the team's strength and teamwork.
On the women's side, the Distance Medley Relay team of Lezly Acevedo, Mikayla Bokis, Kat Kohtala, and Ella Meeker also etched their names into the record books with a school record time of 14:36.87, showcasing the depth of talent on the team.
