T&F: Jordan Sets 60M Dash Record
Boston, MA- The Lasell track and field team delivered a series of remarkable performances at their recent meet, with multiple personal bests (PBs) and even a school record.
Cam Candelaria continued to impress with a blazing 7.36 in the 60m, securing a spot as the #3 all-time performer in Lasell history. This impressive result marks a new personal best for Candelaria, setting the bar high for future competitions. Aiden Mitchell also shone in the 60m, recording a time of 7.39, which ties him at #4 all-time for the team, earning a well-deserved personal best as well.
In the 60m, Kayoni Jordan set a new school record with a time of 8.18, finishing 18th overall. Her efforts didn't stop there, as she also posted a personal best in the 200m, running an outstanding 28.48, ranking #7 all-time for the team.
Hanna Babek also showed great improvement, earning a season best (SB) of 8.73 in the 60m and a 29.76 in the 200m, both personal season highlights.
Amill Houston surged ahead in the 400m with an impressive 54.21, claiming the #5 all-time spot in the team's history and another personal best. Jordan Woodley also had a strong 400m performance, clocking in at 55.73, marking his own personal best. Luigi Gentile added a season best of 61.03 in the event.
In the middle-distance races, Kat Kohtala continued her strong showing with a PB of 2:44.99 in the 800m, ranking #5 all-time for the team. Lezly Acevedo also delivered an outstanding performance, recording a personal best of 2:48.08 and ranking #8 all-time in the 800m.
In the longer distances, Mikayla Bokis demonstrated her strength with a PB of 7:11.46 in the mile, further solidifying her presence in distance running.
On the field, Nate Gonzalez cleared 1.80m in high jump to place 8th overall, continuing to represent the team with pride. In the long jump, Zayshawn Griffin placed 17th with a 6.17m jump, showcasing consistent performances in the event.
In the weight throw, Susy Daniels threw 9.71m, ranking #4 all-time in the event and securing another personal best for the team.
