Boston, Mass. (2/1/15/)- The Lasell College women's track and field team saw improvements and personal best performances this past weekend at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Invitiational.
One of the top performers of the day was senior Melissa Cooley (Huntington Beach, Calif.) who surpassed the Lasell College record in the 400m race. Cooley ran a 1:02.88, beating the previous record by two seconds. Sophomore Ayumni Ranucci (Auburn, Maine) also had an impressive performance for the sprinters, running the 60m race in 8.75 seconds, .10 seconds better than her last race.
Senior Talia Gabriel (Manchester, Conn.) had a personal (indoor) best in the 200m race, finishing at 28.76.
The squad returns to the track on February 6th for the ECAC Division III Championship meet at the Reggie Lewis Center.
