Women's Track and Field Competes In Tufts Invitational

Newton, Mass. (1/20/15) – The women's track and field team competed in the Tufts Invitational this past weekend while racing against some of the top teams in the region.

Junior Jamie Russo (Watertown, Mass.) set a personal best in the 3,000m at 12:02.25, slicing her 2014 indoor record by 30 seconds. Sophomore Amy MacDonald (Burlington, Mass.) also competed in the 3,000m event, finishing at 12:27.31.

Sophomore Ayumi Ranucci (Auburn, Maine) ran the 200m race in 29.87, placing 46th overall.

Senior Melissa Cooley (Huntington Beach, Calif.) ran a 1:07.55 in the 400m, while sophomore Nora McCabe finished the 600m in 2:08.09, placing 28th overall.

The squad will travel to Smith College on Saturday, January 24th to compete in the Beynon Invitational.
