Newton, MA- In an action-packed matchup, the Lasell University women's soccer team faced off against the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), resulting in a 2-2 draw.
The Bluejays struck first, scoring in the 17th minute to take an early lead. However, Lasell responded just before halftime when Mia Pineault found the back of the net, leveling the score at 1-1 as the teams headed into the break.
After the restart, USJ's Kelsi Ursini regained the lead for the Bluejays in the 62nd minute. Yet, Lasell quickly countered, with Camdyn LaMarre scoring just three minutes later, assisted by Michelina D'Agostino, to bring the game back to even at 2-2.
Lasell outshot USJ 8-7 and dominated corner kicks with a 6-1 advantage. Goalkeeper Elizabeth DaSilva made three saves to help secure the draw.
