Newton, MA - The Lasers squared off against another GNAC opponent in Emmanuel on Tuesday afternoon on Taylor Field.
The Lady Lasers came into Tuesday's matchup with a 2-1-1 record (1-0-1 in conference), looking to move up in the conference standings. Emmanuel (5-0-1) (2-0-1 in conference), also had the same goal in mind. Emmanuel broke through early to score a goal in the 8th minute. The Lasers however applied great pressure throughout the rest of the first half to take the game into halftime down 1-0. They also kept it close by some good defensive play with the back line stopping many Saints attacks and goalie Elizabeth DaSilva having 8 total saves on the afternoon. However, the bend but don't break defense couldn't hold on to only a 1-0 deficit as the Saints struck twice in quick succession, netting two goals in a 5 minute span to put them up 3-0. This 3-0 deficit was taken the distance of the match as Emmanuel took the game by a 3-0 final.
