Pair of Lasers Earn GNAC Women's Soccer Honors
Bridget Lynch and Devon Day were both recognized by the GNAC for their outstanding play in the Rowan tournament over the weekend.
NEWTON, MASS. (9/3/13) - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference honored a pair of Lasell College women's soccer players this week after their outstanding performances at the Rowan University tournament this past weekend. Junior forward Bridget Lynch (Dover, N.H.) was chosen as the conference's Player of the Week and freshmen Devon Day (Hartford, Vt.) was recognized as the GNAC Rookie of the Week.
Lynch scored seven goals and added an assist in the team's two victories over the weekend, scoring five times and assisting on another score in the Lasers 10-1 victory over SUNY Purchase and then netting a pair of goals in a 7-0 victory over Alfred University in their second match.
Day recorded two goals and two assists in the weekend, starting her Lasell career in strong fashion. She assisted on the second goal Lasell scored in their win over SUNY Purchase in her collegiate debut, then scored two goals and assisted on another to help drive Lasell past Alfred.
