NEWTON, MA— The Lasell College women’s soccer team is the 2011 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament Champion after a 2-1 defeat of Suffolk University on Saturday afternoon at Taylor Field. Jessica Taylor (Standish, ME) scored the game-winning goal at 59:36 to give Lasell their second consecutive title at the conclusion of the 17th annual GNAC Championship Tournament, as well as the automatic qualifier into the NCAA Tournament.
NEWTON, MA-- For the second consecutive season, the Lasell College women’s soccer team will host the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship on Taylor Field. The first seeded Lasers secured their trip to the finals with a 4-0 shutout over fifth seed Saint Joseph College of Connecticut on Wednesday afternoon. The Lasers improve to 15-4-1 this season while the Blue Jays finish off the year with a 12-6-2 record.

NEWTON, MA-- In the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women’s soccer quarter final match between Lasell College and St. Joseph’s College of Maine, the Lasers retaliated an earlier season loss by trouncing the Monks, 5-1, in the tournament contest. The eighth seeded Monks were bounced from the playoffs, finishing the season with a 7-5-5 overall record while the reigning GNAC Champion, and first seed in the tournament, advances to the semifinals with a 14-4-1 record to date.
PROVIDENCE, RI- Five Lasell College women’s soccer players notched goals en route to a 5-1 victory over Rhode Island College on Wednesday night. The non-conference matchup left Lasell at 12-4-1 at the conclusion of their 2011 regular season while Rhode Island lands at 2-15.
The reigning 2010 GNAC Champion, Lasell College has secured a first place seeding in the 2011 GNAC tournament after achieving a conference record of 11-2 and an overall record of 12-4-1. The Lasers had two critical victories in the season against #3 Albertus and #4 Norwich to earn a first place playoff seeding.
NEW HAVEN, CT—The Lasell College women’s soccer team is the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) regular season Champion, finishing the year with an 11-2 conference slate after a 1-0 win over Albertus Magnus College concluded regular season play on Saturday. Jordynn Frollo (Uxbridge, MA) took the free kick in the 80th minute which connected with the Falcons net to put Lasell on top.
PROVIDENCE, RI- On Thursday afternoon, Johnson & Wales University (11-4-2, 9-1-2 GNAC) shocked Lasell College (11-4-1, 10-2 GNAC) women’s soccer with a 2-1 win in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.
Newton, MA-- St. Joseph’s College of Maine women’s soccer brought Lasell College’s 12-game unbeaten streak, as well as an 18-game undefeated home spell, to a halt on Saturday, stunning the Lasers with a 1-0 win.
NEWTON, MA - On October 15th, 2011, the Lasell College women’s soccer team will be hosting their second annual “Play 4 the Cure” event. In honor of Maria La Francesca, the mother of head coach Vito La Francesca, the team will be holding a benefit game to raise money and increase breast cancer awareness. All proceeds will be donated to the Massachusetts General Hospital’s Gillette Center for Breast Cancer.
WORCESTER, MA—Lasell College and Clark University dueled through two overtimes but held each other off for a scoreless tie in non-conference women’s soccer action on Wednesday night at Granger Soccer Complex.
