Milton, MA- The Lasell University women's lacrosse team used a dominant second-half surge to secure a 14-9 non-conference road victory over Curry on Wednesday afternoon.
After a tightly contested first half that saw the Lasers hold a narrow 5-4 lead at the break, Lasell broke the game open in the third quarter, outscoring Curry 6-1 to take full control.
Lily Hunt led the charge with a game-high seven goals, consistently finding the back of the net in key moments. Ruby Cahill added a strong five-goal, two-assist performance, including four goals in a decisive third-quarter run that swung momentum firmly in Lasell's favor.
Emily Watson orchestrated the offense with four assists, while Lila Meuse chipped in a goal and an assist and Brianna McNeil added a score.
Lasell's defense held firm during the pivotal stretch, limiting Curry to just one goal in the third quarter while building separation. In goal, Tia Spenlinhauer earned the win with 14 saves, anchoring the Lasers through Curry's late push.
Despite Curry's 15-9 advantage in draw controls, Lasell capitalized on its opportunities and converted timely possessions into scoring runs to seal the victory.
Up Next: Lasell will return to action this Saturday in a pivotal conference matchup against Emmanuel College.
