Fitchburg, MA- Behind a dominant offensive effort from Ruby Cahill, Lasell picked up an 11–8 road win over Fitchburg State on Monday afternoon.
The Lasers settled in after conceding the opening goal, responding with a pair of first-quarter scores from Mara Boldy and Cahill to take an early lead. Lasell carried that momentum into the second, with Cahill netting another and Emma Dressel adding to the advantage to make it 4–2.
Fitchburg State battled back to take a brief lead early in the third quarter, but the Lasers answered with a decisive 4–0 run. Dressel sparked the surge before Emily Watson and Cahill connected for back-to-back goals, with Cahill adding another free-position score to give Lasell control at 8–5.
The Falcons continued to push in the fourth, cutting the deficit to one, but Lasell responded once again. Dressel delivered two key goals down the stretch, and Cahill sealed the win with her fifth of the game in the final seconds.
