Newton, MA — The Lasers delivered a commanding performance on Wednesday night at Grelier Field, overpowering Elms College with a decisive 20-7 win in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup. The victory improves the Lasers' record to 10-5 overall and 5-4 in GNAC play.
Led by Alice Rourke, who tallied five goals, and standout Kaitlin Bedell, who added four goals and one assist, the Lasers took control early and never looked back. Lasell exploded for eight goals in the second quarter to create a comfortable lead heading into halftime.
Lasell's offensive attack was relentless, generating 46 total shots, with 33 on goal, and five players scoring multiple goals. Jade Sullivan added four goals, while Emily Watson and Ruby Cahill chipped in with two and three goals respectively. Annarita Sanfilippo and Mara Boldy also got on the scoresheet, contributing to one of the team's most balanced performances of the season.
On the defensive end, goalkeeper Joy Sayah anchored the unit with six saves over 60 minutes in goal, supported by strong performances from defenders Arianni Diaz and Kaleigh Kosta, who helped force 26 Elms turnovers.
Lasell also won the ground ball battle 23-8 and went a near-perfect 15-for-17 on clears.
