WBB: Shirle Major Named GNAC Rookie of the Week to End Season

Newton, MA - The GNAC named Shirle Major the final GNAC Rookie of the Week on Monday.

Major averaged 23.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in a 1-1 week for the Lasers, including a 31-point performance in an 82-77 setback against GNAC South top seed Albertus Magnus. For the week, she shot 57.7% (15-26) overall, 60.0% (9-15) from three, and 87.5% (7-8) from the FT line. The 31-point game was her second 30+ point game on the season, making her just the third player in program history to record multiple 30-point games in their career.
