WBB: Shirle Major Named GNAC Rookie of the Week

Newton, MA - Shirle Major was named the GNAC Rookie of the Week for Women's Basketball on Monday afternoon. This was the first time that the freshman from Worcester, MA has won the award.

Major averaged 24.5 points and 6.5 rebounds over two games last week, including a career-high 34 points against JWU on 12-of-16 shooting, plus 8-of-10 from the FT line. She also posted 15 points, six rebounds and four assists in the Lasers game against GNAC powerhouse Albertus Magnus.

Major will be back on the court on Tuesday, January 17th as the Lasers host Regis at 5:30pm.
