SB: Fortin Fortin Earns Pair of All-Conference Honors

Newton, MA- The Lasell University softball team earned recognition from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference following the 2026 season, led by senior Abigail Fortin's pair of All-Conference selections.

Fortin was named a First Team All-Conference selection as a utility player after delivering one of the strongest offensive seasons on the team. The senior appeared in 33 games and led the Lasers with a .390 batting average, totaling 39 hits while posting a .441 on-base percentage and .460 slugging percentage. She added three doubles, two triples, six RBI, and struck out just twice in 100 at-bats.

She also earned Third Team All-Conference honors as a pitcher after serving as one of Lasell's top arms in the circle throughout the season. Fortin finished the year with a 9-9 record across 22 appearances and 15 starts, logging a team-high 103.1 innings while striking out 67 batters. She also reached a major career milestone this spring, recording her 200th career strikeout while helping lead Lasell back to the GNAC postseason.

Junior Brianna Francis was also recognized by the conference as Lasell's representative on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
