Lasell
Worcester State
Worcester, MA- Lasell was overpowered early and couldn't recover in a 12–0 loss against Worcester State on Wednesday evening.
Abigail Fortin got the start in the circle and ran into trouble right away, as the Lancers lineup came out aggressive and consistently barreled the ball. Over four innings, Fortin allowed 18 hits and 12 runs, with Worcester stringing together rallies and keeping constant pressure on the defense. Even with just one walk issued, the sheer volume of contact made it difficult to slow the momentum.
Offensively, Lasell struggled to respond. The lineup managed just two hits on the day, coming from Adreanna Ventullo and Emma Tarleton, while drawing only one walk. Opportunities were limited, and the team was unable to put together any sustained threats, leaving three runners on base and never advancing a runner into a true scoring position situation.
