Newton, MA- The Lasell University softball team faced Colby-Sawyer on Sunday for a double header and took game one 3-1 and game two 11-3
Game 1-
At the plate, the Lasers totaled 11 hits, with multiple players contributing. Emily Stilwell led the way, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a sacrifice, delivering the biggest hits of the game. Shyanne Raccio also had a strong day, finishing 2-for-3 with a double, while Ashlyn McCampbell added a double of her own. Alyssa Bland chipped in with an RBI and reached base twice, and Emma Tarleton scored a run. Riley Michael added a hit and a stolen base, helping keep pressure on the defense.
In the circle, Abigail Fortin was outstanding, tossing a complete game while allowing just one run on five hits. She struck out eight and walked only two, keeping the Chargers off balance all game long to earn the win.
Game 2-
Lasell scored 11 runs on 14 hits, led by Emma Tarleton, who went three-for-three with three RBIs. Madalen Brown, Ashlyn McCampbell, Riley Michael, and Shyanne Raccio each added key hits and RBIs, including Raccio's triple.
Raccio pitched five strong innings, allowing one earned run on four hits with four strikeouts, earning the win. Despite a few errors, Lasell's hitting and pitching carried the team to victory.
