MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (3/18/14) – The Lasell College softball team used a no-hitter by Eileen Bergin and an offensive outburst to pick up their second win of the day, 20-0 against the College of New Rochelle.
Bergin had a career day, going 4 for 4 at the plate with two singles, a double and a triple while scoring four runs and driving in three more while also hurling the first no-hitter of her career by throwing five innings allowing one walk and striking out 11 to pick up the victory. Nicole LeBlanc had four singles, two runs and two RBI's and Denise Archetto finished with two triples and two walks in four plate appearances, scoring four runs and knocking in four as well. Molly Pritchett singled twice, scoring three runs and knocking in two while Michaelea Grady finished with a pair of singles, two runs scored and three RBI's.
The Lasers plated six runs in the first and three more in the second before putting the game away with a 10-run third inning enroute to a 20-0 victory.
