Lasell’s Kirsten Mammola (North Reading, MA) and Talia DeChiara (Kingston, MA) scored the Lasers two runs in the third inning of the first game. Sophomore catcher Ashley Ryan (Waterbury, CT) then singled home Peck to make the score 2-0 and Saint Joseph added two more runs on a Lasell error.
Lasell got their sole run of the inning from junior catcher Kelly Silvia (Oaks Bluff, MA). Silvia singled with two outs then advanced to second on a wild pitch.
