Men's Cross Country Competes in NCAA Championships
WATERFORD, Conn. (11/15/15) – The Lasell College men’s cross country teamed capped its 2015 campaign with a 48th place finish in the NCAA DIII New England Championship on Saturday afternoon at Harkness Memorial State Park.
WATERFORD, Conn. (11/15/15) – The Lasell College men's cross country teamed capped its 2015 campaign with a 48th place finish in the NCAA DIII New England Championship on Saturday afternoon at Harkness Memorial State Park. Among seven racers, the Lasers posted 1,426 points.
For the second meet in a row, senior Jeremy Shriber (Central Valley, N.Y.) finished first for Lasell and 231st overall with a solid 28:35.8 finish. Sophomore Nick Garifalos (Spotswood, N.J.) wasn't far behind at 29:13.2, while the freshman duo of James Phelps (Westbrook, Maine) and Ryan Dalaba (North Granville, N.Y.) trickled in at 29:55.4 and 30:09.2, respectively.
Senior Cameron Wiewel (Kennebunk, Maine) and sophomore Troy Gonsalves (Providence, R.I.) both finished within the 30-minute mark, Wiewel finishing at 30:22.0 and Gonsalves at 30:50.0.
Freshman Kyle Vonick (Wethersfield, Conn.) rounded out the race for Lasell at 31:23.9 to finish off the Lasers' 2015 season.
