Newton, Mass. - Freshman Alex Weselcouch was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week after his performance at the UMass-Dartmouth Shriner's Invitational. Wesselcouch set a new Lasell record for an 8K course with his time of 27:02, shattering the previous school record by almost a minute.
He finished in 92nd place overall in the field of 293 runners.
