Newton, MA- The 2025 season has officially become one for the record books, as Lasell men's volleyball proudly announces that two of its standout student-athletes have received prestigious postseason honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
Senior outside hitter Theo Zaharewicz has been named to the AVCA All-American First Team, one of the most prestigious honors in collegiate volleyball, while freshman setter Trystan Maloney has been named the AVCA National Newcomer of the Year. Both athletes were also selected to the AVCA All-Region Team, marking a landmark moment for the program.
Zaharewicz, a four-year force for Lasell, closes out his collegiate career as one of the most decorated players in program history. His senior campaign was nothing short of dominant. Across 30 matches and 102 sets, Zaharewicz tallied 388 kills (3.80 kills/set) on .343 hitting, leading the team offensively while remaining a cornerstone in serve receive and defense.
