MVB: Garcia Named Defensive and Setter of the Week

Newton, MA - The GNAC announced their weekly Men's Volleyball awards on Monday, and Laser Senior Jesus Garcia was named both the defensive player of the week, as well as the setter of the week.

Garcia eclipsed the 2,000-career assist mark during a 2-0 week for the Lasers, averaging 9.50 assists and 2.00 digs per set. He had 12 helpers in a 3-0 sweep against Dean before registering 26 assists against SUNY Poly on Saturday. He totaled 38 set assists, eight digs, and three blocks on the week.

The Lasers will next hit the court on Thursday, when they host Wentworth at 7pm.
