Lasell Athletics Announces the Hiring of Tom Olson as Head Men's Volleyball Coach
Lasell College is pleased to announce the hiring of Tom Olson as the head coach of the mens volleyball program. Olson joined the Lasell College men's volleyball coaching staff in 2009 with over 15 years of coaching experience at the high school, club, and collegiate level. He began at Lasell as the associate head coach for two seasons before being appointed the head coach title for the 2011 season.

Coach Olson joined the Lasell College men's volleyball coaching staff in 2009 with over 15 years of coaching experience at the high school, club, and collegiate level. He began at Lasell as the associate head coach for two seasons before being appointed the head coach title for the 2011 season.
Olson was at the helm of the Johnson & Wales University (RI) men's volleyball program for three years (2006-2008) leading them to a post season appearance in the NECVA Tournament in his first season. He amassed a record of 35-39 in three seasons at Johnson & Wales.
Olson's coaching resume also includes stints at Emerson College, CMASS Junior Volleyball, South Shore Sharks Junior Volleyball, Bellingham High School, and Medway High School. Olson is also an active player in New England and competes in both indoor and outdoor volleyball tournaments at the open level and has competed in the USAV National Volleyball Championships for the past 10 years at the B, BB and A level.
