T&F: Lasers Shine at Regis Spring Classic
Weston, MA- Lasell Track and Field delivered a record-setting performance at the Regis meet, highlighted by six new program records, four event victories, and a deep showing across both the men's and women's squads.
The Lasers were led by a standout day from Cam Candelaria, who broke his own school record in the 100m with a winning time of 11.03 while also setting a new program mark in the pole vault (2.75m). Candelaria played a key role in two additional records as part of the first-place 4x100 relay team (43.66) alongside Dylan Cullen, Nate Gonzalez, and Kadon Jordan, as well as the sprint medley relay (3:42.49) with Darius Vincent, Colin Roderick, and Caleb Ruch. Colin Roderick added another victory for the Lasers, taking first in the 400m to help Lasell secure four event wins on the day.
On the women's side, Jules Huckans continued to rewrite the record book, clearing 2.65m in the pole vault to surpass her own previous mark. Huckans also teamed up with Maddie Ebbinghaus, Gabrielle Warner, and Kat Kohtala to set a new school record in the sprint medley relay (4:40.25), finishing second overall.
Lasell showcased its depth throughout the meet, combining for 24 additional top-10 finishes and 13 updates to the program's all-time performance list. Kadon Jordan moved into third all-time in the 100m, while Darius Vincent climbed to fifth in the 200m and Colin Roderick entered the top five in the 400m. On the women's side, Lillian Sullivan jumped to second all-time in the hammer throw, and Sydney Post moved into second in the pole vault.
As a team, the men finished sixth out of 10 teams with 60 points, while the women placed eighth out of 11 teams with 21 points. Lasell will look to carry this momentum into its next meet as the outdoor season continues.
