MTrack: Mackechnie Breaks 60m Hurdles Record Again

Boston, MA - The Lasell Men's Track and Field team competed for the second time on the season Saturday, competing at the 2022 Beacon Invitational. Schools across all divisions competed including DI, DII, and DIII schools.

For the second straight meet, Brady Mackechnie was the star, as he once again broke his previous school record in the 60m Hurdles event. He ran the two fastest times in school history on Saturday, with his 8.75s time in the prelims setting the new school record, and his 8.87s time in the finals also being better than the school record of 8.97s that he set last week. That time in the finals was good enough to place him in 7th at the meet. Mackechnie also put up a mark of 6.10m in the Long Jump, placing him in 9th.

Another standout was Zachary Kirsch, as he put up a mark of 11.66m in the Triple Jump, placing him in 8th place.
