Bio
Head Coach Luis Cabral is entering his second season at the helm of the men's soccer program in the 2025.
Luis Cabral was named Head Coach of the Lasell University Men’s Soccer program in Spring of 2023 and will enter his second season at the helm in Fall 2025. He brings over 20 years of coaching experience across all levels of the game in Massachusetts—from town and club soccer to high school, college, and men’s leagues. A proven winner with multiple State Cup and tournament championships, Cabral is known for building teams grounded in accountability, grit, and defensive intensity.
At Lasell, Coach Cabral is focused on recruiting top-level players who demonstrate both skill and character, with the goal of building a championship-caliber program that competes at the highest level of NCAA Division III. In addition to his collegiate role, he coaches elite teams in the Select Soccer program and will lead a U19 ECNL girls team beginning in December 2025.
Born in the Azores, Portugal, Cabral immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 9 and settled in Somerville, MA. He later attended Tufts University and eventually made Woburn his home.
